Only two weeks until the Final Fantasy I & II remakes release in Japan, and Square Enix has decided to treat us to yet more screens of its mini RPG venture.
As these screens show, the GBA versions (which launch in a joint package) feature both a classic top-down vantage for exploration, with a 2D side-on view for combat.
Gameplay wise, they also come blessed with several new features, including an extra dungeon Soul of Chaos in I, and a new chapter entitled Soul of Re-Birth for II. Both additions feature items, monsters and bosses which were absent from the original early-'90s NES versions.
While confirmation of a European release date still remains sorely missing (expect an announcement soon), gamers with the required hardware should still be able to pick up Japanese import copies from July 15.
One potential stumbling block though - you might need to learn the lingo beforehand.
