Marvel's The Incredible Hulk is smashing his way onto PS2, Xbox and GameCube in, erm, The Incredible Hulk, Vivendi has announced. In development at Radical Games, the action-adventure and latest title to star the touchy green behemoth is due to cause mayhem and destruction in Summer 2005.
Vivendi is promising that The Incredible Hulk will "feature the ultimate in destructible environments, an awesome Hulk-powered ability to weaponize any object and a massive free-roaming, fully interactive world" - players will be able to "jump anywhere, climb anything and smash everything" - and the free-roaming, non-mission gameplay experience will be embellished with additional side missions.
There'll also be new moves to unlock which can be used in epic boss fights, and for the comic book fans amongst us, The Incredible Hulk's storyline is being penned by Eisner Award-winning comic book writer Paul Jenkins.
"Vivendi Universal Games and Radical are creating an interactive world where the player will have all of the freedoms and larger than life abilities of the Hulk in enormous and interactive 'sandbox' environments which really capture the essence of the character," says Ames Kirshen, director of videogame development at Marvel Enterprises.
