Polyphony Digital's long-awaited sequel Gran Turismo 4 has roared off the start grid in Japan. In the first two days of the game's release, December 28 and December 29, Sony reportedly shipped one million units of the racing game to retail (around 635,000 of which have apparently sold in week one). This total means it pips predecessor Gran Turismo 3 to the post, as it could only manage the same number of units shipped over its first three days of release and is said to have sold approximately 620,000 units in sale week one.
On the home front meanwhile, Gran Turismo 4 is down for release on February 25. In the meantime, twiddle your thumbs or something.
