Forget April showers. Bring on the April horrors! Activision and id Software have announced that both the Xbox version of Doom 3 and PC Doom 3 expansion Resurrection of Evil will release in the week of April 4 - so probably out on April 8 on these shores.
"Brace yourself for a new breed of fear and excitement," says the ever talkative Todd Hollenshead, CEO, id Software, about Doom 3 on Xbox.
He continues: "Doom 3 for the Xbox brings gripping action, unparalleled graphics and sound, and a truly terrifying experience to the home theater. This is Doom 3 built for the Xbox, including 480p and wide-screen support, full Xbox Live multiplayer, and the Xbox exclusive two-player co-op campaign."
Doom 3 expansion Resurrection of Evil for PC has been co-developed by Nerve Software and id Software and, picking up two years after the events of the original title, "takes you to the undiscovered depths of the UAC's Mars base and back to Hell itself for a vicious new battle with the forces of evil and the most ferocious demons imaginable."
