The Godfather is quickly shaping up to be one of the most anticipated games of the year, so it came as a nice surprise when we woke up this morning with a severed horse's head in the CVG bed.
Nice, because inside the poor nag's decapitated nugget nestled a stack of fresh images from EA's PS2, Xbox, PC and PSP version of the classic 1972 Francis Ford Coppola mafia movie.
Still no enlightening gameplay screens unfortunately, but these images do give some idea of the game's atmosphere and show off the stunning likenesses of the film's main characters. Digital versions of James Caan, Robert Duvall and the late Marlon Brando will all appear in the game and we've lined up their renders with real photos from the set so you can compare and contrast. Fun, eh?
The Godfather will transpose GTA-style gameplay to the mean streets of New York's Little Italy in the 1940s and 1950s. You'll be able to customise your own hood and experience legendary moments from the movie as you pledge your loyalty to the Don.
Expect The Godfather to extort and intimidate its way onto shelves this autumn.
