Funcom has announced a new expansion for its sci-fi MMROPG Anarchy Online. Named Lost Eden, the expansion is expected to launch at the end of the year and will introduce massive orbital battle stations, player controlled battle Mechs, PvP upgrades, encounters inside alien motherships and extensive alternative character advancement options amongst other features.
A new plot element is being introduced too, naturally. Lost Eden deals with mankind's strategy to deploy orbital battle stations around Rubi-Ka as it goes all-out to repel alien invasion. "As fire rains from the heavens humanity finally seems to gain the upper hand," says Funcom "But with great power comes great temptation, and Omni-Tek and the Clans both see the ultimate means to gain total supremacy for their side; the orbital battle stations."
It continues: "Rubi-Ka, once the birthplace of mankind and the garden of Eden, now a place of havoc and death. Will humanity finally get it right, or will their own aggression see the downfall of both the alien invaders and themselves?"
Dun... dun... DAAAAA!
