Mortal Kombat bloodies knuckles on PSP

Sony's handheld gored by Midway's beat-'em-series. Plus: Midway Arcade Treasures and NBA Ballers also heading to PSP

Midway's beat-'em-up series Mortal Kombat is punching its way onto PSP in Mortal Kombat: Deception, website has revealed.

Mortal Kombat: Deception (working title at this stage) is pencilled in for an end of year release and is said to be pretty much identical to the MK: Deception title on console. We can expect the likes of Puzzle Kombat and Konquest modes, online punch ups, interactive backgrounds and fighters graced with at least two fatality moves each.

It's additionally been revealed that Midway is bringing NBA Ballers to PSP (it's expected to run along similar lines to its console cousin) which features single-player and wi-fi multiplayer and is due next year and a PSP version of Midway Arcade Treasures.

Midway Arcade Treasures (full title to be confirmed) for PSP stars a mixture of single-player and wi-fi multiplayer retro action, cramming in an impressive 21 tittles. Amongst those included are such memorable arcade classics as Spy Hunter, Defender, Rampage, Rampart, Marble Madness, Joust, Mortal Kombats one to three and Gauntlet. Midway Arcade Treasures is out at the end of the year.
