Judge Dredd revived for DVD gaming

Four-year deal signed to bring Dredd to "interactive DVD" series

UK dev studio Rebellion, owner of the Judge Dredd rights, has signed Smoking Gun Entertainment to create a series of what's being called "interactive DVD" games.

First up is "Citizen Brain", expected to appear for casual, remote control-based DVD play in 2006AD.

More exciting is the official blurb accompanying the announcement, which promises "further 2000AD based movies in the pipeline" - hopefully not featuring anything like or to do with Sylvester Stallone.

Dredd owner Rebellion is also developing 2000AD's Rogue Trooper for Xbox and PS2, also due in 2006AD.
