Hello. Here we have some screenshots for a stonking new FPS from Activision called Call of Duty 2: Big Red One.
Yes, they really are calling it that. We're reliably informed by our resident WW2 expert (he's currently sheltering behind some sandbags and drawing lines up the back of his legs for that 'stocking' effect) that the Big Red One actually refers to the elite American 1st Infantry unit. We shall therefore refrain from making lewd gags.
So, you'll see from these screenshots that Call of Duty 2: Big Red One will slam you right back into the middle of the Second World War. You'll stick with the exploits of the 1st rather than flitting around like in the last console CoD. The ultimate aim is to roughly penetrate the German defences with the Big Red One. Oops.
Call of Duty 2: Big Red One is due for Xbox, PS2 and Cube this autumn. We recommend that you don't confuse it with Call of Duty 2, which will invade PC and Xbox 360 late this year.
Enjoy the screens.
