Mother 3 still bound for GBA

Earthbound creator spills the beans on the long awaited Nintendo handheld RPG

Mother (or Earthbound in the US) creator Shigesato Itoi has revealed juicy snippets of information on the latest series installment Mother 3, which has been in development for Game Boy Advance for some time.

Via a post on his website he has stated that the third Mother title, which was originally in development for Nintendo 64, is coming to the end of development for the Game Boy Advance.

"I'm in the middle of doing many work retreats to get it finished" said Itoi. "I'm going to work especially hard for a short while longer to get everything done."

Of course this isn't the first time Mr. Itoi has stated that Mother 3 is close-by. He posted a simular message on his website back in 2003 - and here we are two years later with no Mother to play with.

According to Itoi, Mother 3 will be released "about one season away". Unfortunatley there is no garantee of a European release as thus far the series has failed to reach our shores. Still, we're crossing fingers.
