The latest iteration of the much-loved action-strategy franchise Kingdom Under Fire is to be given a chance to wow us with new capabilities and its flashiest ever graphics: its Korean developer Blueside is working on a version of the game, subtitled Circle of Doom, for the Xbox 360.
Blueside Vice President S.D. Kim has explained that "Creating a totally different gaming experience with cutting-edge technology has always been Blueside's goal. Circle of Doom is no exception, as it combines innovative action-play mechanics and familiar RPG themes, all presented in the most advanced HD visuals of epic scale and exotic style."
Previous Kingdom Under Fire games have garnered praise for their judicious mix of hack-n-slash and strategy gameplay, so there are high hopes that the franchise's first next-gen foray will generate a unique gaming experience.
Blueside added that Circle of Doom isn't a direct successor to previous Kingdom Under Fire games The Crusaders and Heroes, but is an "Important link between them and the upcoming and yet unannounced next chapter of the Kingdom Under Fire saga." Sounds like those chaps at Blueside are busy indeed.
