Army of Two, screenshot one

EA releases first image from its new next-gen, co-op play blaster

Army of Two: an action game that's built around the core mechanic of co-op play and one that, according to EA, will "redefine strategic two man cooperative play". No beating around the bush there from the publisher, which has previously explained that the title's two-man army - either human-controlled plus AI-controlled, or human-controlled plus human-controlled - will be going tactical warfare in modern-day hot spots.

When EA announced Army of Two earlier this month, it decided not to release any screenshots, but that's now been addressed - although, not in particularly generous manner as only one image has been pumped our way. Still, it's a first look, which we suppose is no bad thing.

Army of Two is out next year, so far confirmed for PS3 and Xbox 360.
