We reckon FPS fans should keep a very close eye on Frontlines: Fuel of War, and fans of the highly regarded Desert Combat mod for Battlefield 1942 should especially do so. Why? Well, because Frontlines developer Kaos Studios boasts members of the Desert Combat dev team amongst its ranks. As such, we're expecting something special - just don't let us down now, Kaos chaps.
Anyway, Frontlines is an FPS/combat affair with infantry- and vehicle-based action, players propelled into near-future warfare where the Western Coalition and the Red Star Alliance are engaging in a globe-spanning battle for oil. The game is in development for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 and a teaser trailer arriving fresh from the, ah, frontlines this morning gives us an idea of what to expect from the title's combat and battlegrounds. The Frontlines offensive is scheduled to kick off in 2007.
