CS: Source map, gameplay updates on radar

New stuff for Valve's shooter coming soon, one change to have "fairly significant gameplay ramifications"

Counter-Strike: Source is to receive its latest update "in about two weeks", Valve Software has announced, the update to feature a reworked version of the FPS' Train level and a re-jigged radar system.

The new version of Train that'll be released will feature an HDR lighting pass, minor layout changes and a number small bug fixes - we've uploaded a screenshot from the made-over map on this here page for you to pass mince pies over.

On the radar changes, meanwhile, Valve's said the following: "The second facet of this release will be a completely reworked radar system. There will be a significant change to the aesthetics of the radar, but there are also some fairly significant gameplay ramifications to the new system.

"One example: when you look directly at an enemy for a long enough time for their name to appear on your screen, everyone on your team will be able to see that enemy in the radar."

Well, er, blippin' eck! Keep eyes peeled for the update's release soon.
