Assassin's Creed puts stranglehold on PC

Magazine preview spills the beans on AC on PC, but still no official word from Ubisoft. Plus: new screenshots

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed, its assassin 'em-up which has whipped up a storm of interest since its announcement for Sony's PS3, IS COMING TO THE PC.

Confirmation has come via way of a preview of the game appearing in the latest edition of PC Gamer (UK), which has dropped into magazine subscriber hands.

It's expected that Ubisoft will officially announce Assassin's Creed for PC this week and 360 as well, as we've long maintained. It really is becoming the worst-kept secret in gaming, so come on Ubisoft 'fess up and officially confirm Assassin's love for all the game's many many fans.


The publisher, unfortunately, was unavailable for comment at the time of writing.

We are, it has to be said, drooling all over Assassin's Creed. Set in the 12th century during the time of the Third Crusade and the war in the Holy Land, it deals with an attempt by ruthless assassins to halt hostilities via suppression of the powers battling in the conflict.
