If you missed both KOTOR games - exclusive to Xbox no less - you must be stark raving mad.
10. THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK: ESCAPE FROM BUTCHER BAY
At bloody last... how to use a film licence properly
Doom creator id Software must have been fuming when Starbreeze beat it to the best in-game graphics with Riddick. It came out months before Doom 3 and looked every bit as good. Even more amazing was the fact that Starbreeze had only released the very average Enclave before this beast.
Many thought it was a straightforward movie-licenced FPS on rails but they couldn't be more wrong. For 80 per cent of the action you didn't even have a gun. Instead you had to rely on stealth or mellee fighting. Being able to block was also a very big advantage.
Gravel-voiced beefcake Vin Diesel played a major part in the development and his own dev studio worked with Starbreeze on every aspect of the Riddick universe. The result was a mighty playable adventure based on the badass prison from the movies.
After two CGI-riddled blockbusting movies (okay, The Chronicles Of Riddick was a bit OTT) there's got to be more Riddick action in the pipeline. The universe is massive and the potential to make stuff up for a game is huge. Done as good as this one and they're on to a winning franchise.
