Capcom bolstering Lost Planet multiplayer

Capcom updating its Xbox 360 shooter with multiplayer map packs - first pack out early March

Early March will witness the release of the first of three planned map packs for Lost Planet, Capcom's Xbox 360 blaster.

Costing 400 Microsoft Points, the pack will contain two multiplayer maps and be downloadable from Xbox Live Marketplace.

Radar Field is described as a close-quarters facility which is under construction and has a giant radar that provides an excellent vantage point.

Island 902, meanwhile, is "a sprawling Pacific-themed battlefield with several islands connected by bridges as well as vast underwater areas."

The two further map packs - on which there are no concrete details as yet - will be released "in the coming months", Capcom has informed.

In addition, it's releasing multiplayer map Battleground for free in the near-future. Battleground was exclusive to the Limited Edition version of Lost Planet.
