You might have seen it hovering around in the forums for a few days now, but here, front and center, is a guide to the biggest glitch in the Halo 3 multiplayer beta; how to unlock the custom game lobby.
The custom lobby gives you access to full map and game mode options, Halo 3's new pistol and plasma sword weapons, zero gravity tweakage and even the option to adjust the effectiveness of active camo.
First of all, you're going to nine people to pull of the glitch (yes, nine). Man A, as we'll be referring to him as, has to create a new party and fill it with seven mates (so eight people in total).
Man B has to create a new party on his own, and then send an invite to Man A, the leader of the eight-man party. Man A accepts the invite and takes his eight man party with him to Man B's.
Then the magic happens - one member of Man A's party gets booted to the custom game lobby, with full gravity-tweaking powers.
We've already had a good few matches with the custom lobby and we're pleased with the balancing Bungie has thrown at the pistol and plasma sword. The pistol no longer sports a scope but is just as devastating up close as in Halo 1.
The plasma sword meanwhile now has an ammo count similar to Halo 2's single-player game, allowing wannabe fencers to claim ten victims before it shuts off forever. Thank Christ for that.
If you've got enough people in your friends list fire it up, and share your thoughts in the comments section below.
