Need for Speed: Pro Street will be wheel-spinning into UK shops for PS3, 360, PS2, PC and DS on November 1, a day after the US release on October 31.
NFS Pro Street is special because, although it packs the same high-speed thrills of previous NFS games, it also has extra layers of optional depth for more hardcore players who like little more than a quick pedal-to-the-metal thrash-about.
But it's no simulation insisted the game's producer, John Doyle. "I think 'simulation' is a bit of a dirty word," he said in an interview with CVG. "There's some baggage involved in [simulations] in that it's punishing or not fun," he explained.
EA has also confirmed that EA Playground, for Wii and DS, will join Pro Street in British stores on November 2, although the US get it a full week before on October 23.
