Axe attack rhythm-action sequel Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is releasing on PC and Mac.
It's all thanks to developer Aspyr, which is bringing the game to the two platforms. Both versions are set to release this autumn - in North America at least.
Guitar Hero publisher Activision was unavailable for comment on any UK release plans at the time of writing.
Legends of Rock on PC (and Mac) "will match their console counterparts with explosive new content and features including a multiplayer action-inspired battle mode, gruelling boss battles, a host of exclusive unlockable content and visually stunning rock venues", is the enthusiastic word from Aspyr.
