Turn the lights down low, sit back and enjoy gameplay footage from the PC version of PlayLogic's recently released survival horror-adventure Obscure II.
After inhaling a narcotic substance - in the game, not in the office - we awake mysteriously in a wood and things quickly turn to hell as we stumble across a creepy graveyard where corpses hang from branches. Yuck. Suddenly a shadowy figure runs out the gloom with a victim slung across his shoulder and disappears below ground.
What to do but pursue the figure into the underground lair where ghostly beings lurk, screams echo and blood runs down walls - walls which suddenly burst apart to disgorge nasty critters with octopus faces.
Unfortunately, despite frantic blasts with a shotgun, the otco-faces turn our female companion into mincemeat in gruesome gouts of blood. Whoops, sorry luv. Still, that's what save games are for, right?
Obscure II focuses on evil goings on at Fallcreek University, where survivors of previous horror at Leafmore High are faced with further nastiness spawned by mysterious black flowers that induce strange but vivid dreams.
No prizes for guessing that there's terror afoot and when the seeds finally germinate, a bad trip suddenly turns into a horrible reality...
