Here's the low-down on what to expect from Mario and Sonic sporting meet up on Olympic grounds.
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games will feature 20 events ranging from track, field, aquatic and other sports, and 16 characters (eight from Mario's world and eight from Sonic's).
Each event uses the Wii Remote in a unique way, and most are playable with up to four players. Unfortunately, the inclusion of online play looks highly unlikely, unless Sega is planning a surprise last-minute revelation. Here's a list of the events revealed so far:
- 4x100m Relay
- 110m Hurdles
- Long Jump
- Triple Jump
- Hammer Throw
- Javelin Throw
- Gymnastics - Trampoline
- Shooting - Skeet (Clay Pigeon)
- Rowing - Single Sculls
- Aquatics - 100m Freestyle, 4x 100 Freestyle
- Fencing - Individual Epee
- Table Tennis - Singles
The Wii version of the game is expected out in November, while the DS game won't arrive until early next year.
