Downloadable content is a staple of PS3 and Xbox 360 releases these days, but it looks like Wii is about to get DLC content of its own via the upcoming Wii Ware service.
Famitsu.com has revealed that Namco Bandai's word puzzle game Mojipittan will sport paid downloadable content that expands the game with new stages and items. Not exactly new Mario Galaxy levels, but hopefully it's a sign of things to come.
The game was originally released on PS2, PSP and DS and has sold over 900,000 copies, so you'd think there's a couple of Japanese punters who might be interested in shelling out cash for more word fun.
Pricing details haven't been confirmed, but Namco Bandai says the game will be out alongside the Wii Ware service in Japan next March. Let's hope less East-centric games get DLC around then.
