How does winning $20,000 (£9,600) for showing that you kick ass at FIFA 08 sound?
The FIFA Interactive World Cup is back and looking for the best 08 players to compete in Berlin next year for cold, hard cash. Well, it's not like we'll have anything better to do next summer...
"Since the launch of FIFA 08 last month, over 10,000 players from 25 countries and five continents have started battling for top position on the leader board in the online part of the competition via PlayStation Network," says EA.
Ronaldinho, who's on board with EA to push the event, said: "The FIFA Interactive World Cup is a fantastic opportunity for all football fans to show off their skills and passion for the sport with FIFA 08.
"It is a great tournament in which you have to train and work hard to succeed - just like in real football, so I invite all fans to register and enjoy this party of interactive football."
Two players, 15 year old Christian Lřnhart from Bagsvćrd in Copenhagen and Roland Császár (17) from Budapest, have already been chosen for the 32-man final. That means there are 30 spaces left.
To start with, you have to be (a fair bit) better at the game than England is at the real sport. Then you have to register at EA's dedicated website, and check where the nearest final event is to you, if you can make it that far.
Oh, and this is a PS3 thing via PSN. Soz, 360 boys. You're out of luck this time round.
