GH III disc replacement registration opens

...to Americans. UK still in the dark

Activision US has opened a registration service for gamers who want a replacement Guitar Hero III disc with full Dolby Pro Logic II sound.

Legions of angry, tech-aware gamers went forum rioting when they realised that the sound in the Wii version of Guitar Hero III was rather ludicrously being outputted in shit-TV-from-the-'80s mono format - which is particularly ironic for a game all about music.

North American residents who want their discs replaced with fully surround sound-enabled versions can register their interest one a special phone service (see here for details).

However, no such service has been announced for UK customers, and Activision UK declined to comment on the matter.

It is suggested, however, that not all UK copies of the game suffer from the problem, so you might be alright. Sound off in the comments below and let us know.
