Development of the Wii version of 2K Games' Civilization Revolution has been stalled indefinitely.
Work on the Firaxis developed strategy sim for Wii has been put on hold, for the time being at least, so that the developer can concentrate on the other versions of the title, according to an IGN report.
"Development for the Wii version of Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution is currently on hold," a 2K Games spokesperson said.
"We are focusing our attention on creating the best possible Civilization experience for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo DS platforms."
The Civilization series, which has been synonymous with creator Sid Meier since its inception in 1991, has long been viewed as one of the defining PC strategy franchises.
A release date for Civilization Revolution on consoles has yet to be announced.
