In its quarterly earnings conference call this morning, Electronic Arts has officially delayed its pair of shooters Mercenaries 2: World in Flames and Battlefield: Bad Company.
Mercenaries was previously rumoured for a date slip after various online retailers listed it as coming out in August later this year. It became obvious when its original February date arrived this morning and erm, we weren't playing it.
Unfortunately, the new release window for the pair (EA's fiscal year 2009) is as wide as any time between April 1, 2008 and March 31. EA execs did not clarify a more specific date in the conference call.
That's another two games likely destined for the Christmas blowout, then. And in Mercenaries case we really think it could do with the extra development time...
