Nice but fake BioShock 2 art emerges - have a look anyway

2K, give this man a job!

It's undoubtedly one of top three games of the last 12 months, so it's no surprise that everyone's praying for a sequel to 2K's excellent BioShock.

You'll probably crop-dust your pants at the sight of these gorgeous concept shots then - but don't get too excited, they're just the work of a (talented) fan.

The artwork was created by artist Ben Mauro as part of his Architecture course, which concentrated on the scenes and environments, which BioShock has plenty of.

Also, the last one looks like it's set in Coronation Street. Can Ken Barlow take on a pissed off Big Daddy? You know we all want to find it.

We're sure you'll agree that he's done a great job of capturing the feel of Rapture (we recognise some of these rooms and - oh, is that a big daddy?), but we hate him anyway for building our hopes up.

There's currently no official word on the second game (which is strongly rumoured to be a prequel rather than a straight follow-up), but speaking to Next-Gen.biz mastermind Ken Levine said: "Am I interested in continuing to work in the world? Yes, I am." Chances are looking good then.

Check out Mauro's blog (what's lots more of his dream-destroying art) here.
