Gearbox Software's new sci-fi IP goes missing

In an earnings statement released Tuesday, publisher Take-Two said it would be pushing Borderlands from its original fiscal 2008 (ending October 31) release window into fiscal 2009.

The company said it delayed the game "in order to allow additional development time for this highly anticipated game and provide a better balance in the release of Take-Two's triple-A titles."
