CoD4 gets re-release on 360

GotY Edition with new box and free DLC

Activision has revealed a new version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, set to release on Xbox 360 next month.

CoD4: Game of the Year edition isn't worth getting too excited about if you already own the vanilla version, but it does have a lovely new box and a token to get the new downloadable content for free.

As was revealed this morning, the Variety Map Pack will cost 800 Microsoft points and offer four new maps; Creek, Broadcast, Killhouse and Chinatown.

There's no word on the price of the box yet, but we can only assume they'll offer something of a discount.

Both the DLC pack and the Game of the Year edition will be out in April. If you haven't bought CoD4 already, we strongly recommend you put this version on your shopping list.
