Uh-oh. It looks quaint PC publisher G2 Games is going to get a phone call from Bethesda, if images of its point and click adventure game, Limbo of the Lost, are real.
Eagle eyed reviewers in the US played through the thirty quid PC game and found that the environments were a bit... familiar.
As you can see from the images below, Majestic Studios, developer of Limbo, have lifted areas and textures straight from Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and stuck them in their game (which is now on sale in the shops).
We've not been able to get ahold of Limbo of the Lost to verify these screenshots, but if real the scenery in the game - right down to the textures - is near-identical to that in Bethesda's game. Naughty, naughty.
It's still not confirmed, but if it turns out to be legit we'll be shocked. Did the developer think no one would notice?
We've contacted both parties for comment on the "borrowed" assets, but neither have got back to us.
Thanks to Game Plasma for the pics
