Alone in the Dark was "too ambitious" for Atari

Game director David Nadal tells us why the project was originally set for the bin

Now that Alone in the Dark is all done, game director David Nadal has come out to reveal why, in the early stages of development, Atari almost scrapped the whole project.

In this making of video(right), he talks of his love of the Alone in the Dark series (including nostalgic footage of the PC original), and why his dream of making the new game was almost destroyed when Atari dismissed early concept designs as "too ambitious".
