Capcom has snagged the publishing duties for Grand Theft Auto IV... in Japan.
Rockstar's massive crime-em-up will finally receive a full Japanese language version dated for release in the Far East this October, and will be distributed under the Capcom label, although it's lack of giant robots or small collectible animals means it probably won't be the chart-smashing hit in Japan as it is over here.
As of May this year the sequel has shipped over 11 million copies to retailers, of which at least 8.5 million have made their way to gamers' homes. It'd be fair to assume that Japanese locals will add a few copies to that.
The PC version, with expanded multiplayer and rez-ed up graphics, has just been ,a href="http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=194765">announced and dated for this November. Look for our own eyes-on impression of the new version soon.
GTA IV is out in Japan for both PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 30.
