Rock Band 2 will release in the UK on November 21 for Xbox 360 and a week earlier in some European territories.
The game has an Xbox 360 "exclusive launch window" in the region and will set you back £49.99, with standalone Rock Band 2 hardware set to follow at the beginning of December.
The Rock Band 2 soundtrack will feature over 100 songs at launch, and developer Harmonix and its partners EA and MTV Games are keen to stress that the new game's no Rock Band 1.5.
"Rock Band 2 revolutionises music gaming with the ability to export most of the songs from the original Rock Band disc, Online World Tour, daily Battle-Of-The Band Tournaments, Auto-Calibration to eliminate TV lag, wireless drums, quieter, velocity sensitive drum heads, support for up to three drum cymbals (sold separately), No Fail Mode, and a real Drum Trainer." And take a breath...
So, the game's out for 360 a couple of weeks after the new Guitar Hero, but no news on when it'll release in Europe for other platforms as yet.
