EA will host a new public festival, the Need for Speed Live 2009 International Race Event, next summer.
The company's in negotiations to run the week long celebration of car culture at the famous Brands Hatch Circuit near London, and says to expect all the "energy, adrenaline and sexiness" of the Need for Speed brand.
"The weekend-long experience will be a showcase of entertainment, videogames, music, car shows and displays designed to appeal to fans of racing games, proud owners of hot vehicles, fans of exotic cars and motorsports enthusiasts," says the company.
The event will see a number of the world's top drifters and time attack cars from across Europe, North America and Japan face off in a battle of the continents, so it's definitely one for the speed freaks among you.
