Welsh football fans are venting their anger at being snubbed from the national team roster of EA's FIFA 09.
Annoyed Welshman have been picking up the footy entry all month, only to find that the Welsh football team has been mysteriously cut - despite having appeared in previous entries of FIFA.
"I'm a big fan of John Toshack's side and I was looking forward to leading the team. I found England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and even New Zealand, but no Wales," fan Noel Davies told Wales Online, our new favourite website.
"I don't know why but maybe the people at FIFA no longer see us as a footballing nation and think we are no longer worthy of a place in the game," continued Noel, only noticing Wale's wasn't in the game two months after release.
"There are Premiership players in the Welsh team coveted by the top European clubs. You would only have to have a chat with Arsene Wenger about Aaron Ramsey to agree about that.
"I imagine the market for this game in the UK is huge, so to ignore Wales is ridiculous. There are enough gaming members of the public in Wales. I find it really insulting."
So wound up are Welsh fans that a petition has been started on the EA forums, and signed by a whopping 125 people. To be fair, that's half a town in some parts of the country.
One fan 'Bluebird Chris' said: "I thought it was bad having to put up with the plain red kits in previous versions, but at least we were in the game. I have actually chosen not to buy Fifa '09 because Wales aren't in it."
EA's given no official reason for the Wales cut, but we've chucked them an e-mail anyway to get the official word.
