The latest issue of Famitsu reports are that Capcom will release a Resident Evil 5 demo supporting co-op play via Xbox Live Marketplace next Friday.
According to the Japanese mag, 360 players will be able to get their first taste of the highly anticipated survival horror game and it's new multiplayer mechanic from December 5, although it's said that the demo will be exclusive to Gold subscribers.
We contacted Capcom about the report, but the publisher told us it has "nothing to announce regarding a demo at this moment in time".
The mag made no mention of a PS3 demo, so it's assumed to be 360-only for the time being, and the release could be specific to Japan.
If true, hopefully we'll get it here around the same time. Until then you'll have to make do with the various trailers and gameplay footage of the game here.
Resident Evil 5's scheduled for release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 13, 2009.
