Rockstar has rubbished last week's report that an all-new GTA could be on the shops before the end of this year.
Speaking to Kotaku, a Take-Two spokesperson said that there was "no truth" to the rumour that a new, fully-retail GTA game would be in the shops before Christmas, adding that GTA IV's two downloadable episodes - the first of which lands next month - would be out before October 31.
We've contacted Rockstar for comment, but expect as similar answer.
The original Game Informer article claimed that the new 2009 GTA game would "follow the suit of previous GTAs and use a subtitle such as GTA: San Andreas, etc. Tokyo might be a possible setting for the game, but details are non-existent at this time."
