Britrock's elder statesmen and Oasis man Noel Gallagher has once again differed with Activision's Guitar Hero, stating that "playing a guitar is not a f***ing videogame."
Speaking to CVG cousin Total Guitar magazine, Gallagher said that he thinks the music game is at least better than more traditional titles as "It's better than two goblins trying to f**k a donkey up the arse with a laser beam." Ahem.
"When I meet kids I always say to them playing a guitar is not a f*cking videogame, there is no level to get to. You'll never master it and you'll never complete the game," he said, admitting that he's yet to play Guitar Hero himself.
"I've never heard of it. I suppose I'm a bit old fashioned. Whatever your entry point into music is, it has to be a good thing. It's just so worthwhile getting into."
Last year Gallagher made similar comments, telling sister site Music Radar, "If it puts little plastic guitars into kids' hands and fires their imaginations, I think that's a good thing. It's harmless fun, innit.
"I'd rather that genre of videogames than somebody getting their f***ing head chopped off with a samurai sword while getting f****d by a goblin up the arse with a laser. Do you know what I mean?"
