Over 1.8 million Xbox Live users have downloaded the Resident Evil 5 demo in just its first week online, Microsoft has confirmed.
The number puts Capcom's survival horror game (if we can call it that any more) among the top demo launches on the service, including Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and Too Human.
More than 1.3 million of those downloads occurred in the first three days of its release on Xbox Live Marketplace, says MS.
What's more, when the demo launched on Xbox Live in Japan over 53% of Xbox Live Gold members downloaded it, it says. Both of them.
For PS3 users, the demo's just gone live on the PlayStation Store. No numbers have been released by SCE yet, but we bet they're just as spectacular.
As for the full game, the first mag review is in... and it's a good'en.
