Exciting Resi 5 content coming "for PS3"

Capom stops short of confirming DLC - just

PS3 owners have had to wait a little while to get their hands on the Resident Evil 5 demo 360 users have been lapping up for the past week, but new comments from Capcom promising some "exciting content coming for PS3 users" could make up for that.

"We haven't announced any plans for DLC yet. So I say, rumors!" Capcom's Shawn Baxter said on the PlayStation Blog.

Deciding to be a bit more generous later on in the comments section, he added, "Alright, so I did some digging about some of your questions around here. So far mums the word on DLC, but I will say there's some exciting content coming for PS3 users... ;) More on that soon."

We reckon DLC's definitely coming at some point then, although we think it's likely to be for both the PS3 and 360 versions of the game.

Going on to explain the game's mandatory 5GB install on PS3, Baxter said, "Ultimately, this comes down to load times. Basically, the install decreases load times. I have the 40gb, so I know what it's like to have a HDD fill up."

It's out on March 13. In the meantime go and download the demo if you haven't already, and check out these excerpts from Resident Evil 5's first review.
