The grim and mutant dog-filled world of Fallout 3 could be about to hit television screens, as a suspicious trademark by rights holder Bethesda has been discovered.
Bethesda has applied for a Fallout trademark for "entertainment services in the nature of an on-going television program" and for "motion picture films about a post-nuclear apocalyptic world," as you can see here.
The developer owns the rights to the single-player game series, but back-from-the-dead publisher Interplay is currently working on a Fallout MMO.
So, Fallout the film (or TV series). Would you watch it? We reckon it's a bit grim for Saturday morning cartoon action, to be honest but a movie sounds lovely.
Bethesda wouldn't give us a comment when contacted. But we might hear something soon from an event the studio is hosting in London today. We'll keep you posted.
