The Conduit developer, High Voltage, is working on a new co-op zombie first-person shooter for Wii, heavily influenced by Valve's fantastic Left 4 Dead.
Titled The Grinder, it will feature split-screen and online four-player co-op gameplay, influenced by grindhouse-style horror movies (like House of the Dead Overkill on Wii). You and your mates control a group of heroes tasked with gunning down monsters in a world populated by vampires, werewolves, and the undead.
High Voltage's Eric Nofsinger told IGN: "We've been playing a lot of Left 4 Dead and there really isn't that kind of frantic co-operative experience on the Wii right now.
"There's certainly nothing that takes advantage of the Wii hardware the way we are able to with our engine." Fingers crossed Wii's online infrastructure can deal with this sort of game.
This follows High Voltage's revelation yesterday of the development of Gladiator A.D, a fighting game set in ancient Rome.
High Voltage says it's aiming for a "holiday 2010" release, so it's way off. The full interview and screens are here.
