Unique safari/photography sim Afrika - featuring the most realistic hippos you've ever seen - will finally see release outside of Japan.
The firm has picked up publishing rights to the title in the US. It was released in Japan in august last year.
In the game, you "step into the role of a freelance photographer exploring a brand new conservation area", as you "document the wildlife and photograph incredible sights such as a titanic clash between hippopotamuses, a pride of lions watching over its playful cubs, and a cheetah's lightning-fast chase as it runs down its prey".
And all without the risk of a monkey ripping off your car's windscreen wipers or a lion taking a chunk out of your ass. Unfortunately though, there's no rocket launcher in the game to shoot Zebras with. Maybe a future DLC pack...?
The game'll be out in US in "early fall 2009". There's still no release in sight for UK though, but PS3 is region free. If you're REALLY desperate for some English-speaking safari action, just import it. Oh, and here's some new shots...
