Fox and Ice Age man at helm for EA film

Twentieth Century Fox is set to turn EA's Spore into a CG-animated movie, with Ice Age man Chris Wedge at the helm.

Greg Erb and Jason Oremland, who wrote Disney's upcoming "The Princess and the Frog" and Ben Stiller film "The Return of King Doug", will write the script for the Spore movie, reports Variety.

The film will be produced as a CG-animated flick by EA and Blue Sky Studios, with EA's Patrick O'Brien along with Maxis VP, Lucy Bradshaw, VP of Maxis Studio, in exec producer roles.
