Clash of the Titans comes to consoles

Kraken news

Namco Bandai and Warner has teamed up for Clash of the Titans on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, which will be hammering its way to you (in the US at least) around spring next year. The title will be developed by Game Republic.

"Clash of the Titans is a truly iconic entertainment experience," said Namco Bandai marketing man Todd Thorson. "Bringing the re-imagined movie to life in an interactive adventure with Warner Bros. Interactive promises an unprecedented experience for video game and movie fans alike."

Surely we don't have to explain what Clash of the Titans is about but here's some info for those youngsters among us: "Set in the timeless grandeur of Greek mythology, Clash of the Titans immerses players into the epic battle for dominance between the human race and the powerful gods Hades and Zeus.

"Through vast landscapes of swamps, mountains and the underworld, two modes of play let players embody Perseus' adventure from the film, or take on original new bosses in fresh, dynamic adaptations of one of the greatest mythological stories ever told."

Game details are thin on the ground but there are various PR catchphrases like 'unprecedented style of action-adventure game play' and 'ever-changing arsenal of weapons and powers' in the press release. It also makes a quick mention of teaming up with friends to face Medusa and The Kraken.

Could be good, if the boss fights take a hint of inspiration from something like Tekken. What do you reckon? (Thanks Andreas)
