EA's worst kept secret, Dead Space 2, is set for release sometime next year, reports respected news agency Reuters.
It says: "Electronic Arts has a pair of horror offerings for gamers. The publisher recently shipped Dead Space: Extraction for Wii, which is a prequel to last fall's Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC hit. Dead Space 2 is in development for next year."

EA's yet to officially confirm the follow-up, but a Visceral Games job ad blabbed last month: "The game is in the later stages of pre-production, ready for production in the next few months, with many of the navigational and combat mechanics in place."
It continued: "The Games Label at EA is 100% committed to this IP, and has already worked on IP extensions such as comic, animated features, and action figures."
