Mum calls 911 over son's GTA addiction

"I want to help my son, but I can't find a way," says kid's poor mother

The mother of 14-year-old has called in the cops because her son won't stop playing, yep - you guessed, Grand Theft Auto IV.

According to a report in the Boston Herald, "The final straw for Angela Mejia snapped at 2:30 a.m. Saturday when, 'I woke up in the middle of the night and saw the light on in his bedroom,' hours after she had told him to go to sleep.

"'Sometimes I want to run away, too,'" Mejia said, breaking down in tears in her immaculate apartment. 'I have support from my church, but I'm alone. I want to help my son, but I can't find a way.'"

Mejia unplugged the PlayStation and then dialed 911. Police responded by basically tellign the kid to stop giving his mum a hard time and go to bed. "They (police) were just like, 'Chill out. Go to bed,'" the boy told the Herald.

Why a 14-year-old is playing GTA in the first place wasn't even mentioned in the article...
