Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun has revealed that the new Legend Of Zelda Wii game will be released this year.
The latest edition of the paper features an interview with Nintendo President Satoru Iwata (translated by Kotaku) and confirms that the hotly anticipated Wii game will be released in Japan before the end of 2010. There is no word of a UK release yet.
This means there will be new Mario, Metroid and Zelda games to look forward to in 2010.
You can expect to see more of the next Legend of Zelda game at E3 this June. In an interview with ONM last month, Zelda mastermind Eiji Aonuma told gamers that they can expect surprises at the show.
"It is something we used to talk about with Mr Miyamoto, and he and I agree that if we are following the same structure again and again, we might not be able to give long time Zelda fans a fresh surprise," said Aonuma.
