Rebellion has released a new version of the Aliens Vs Predator demo on PSN for PS3 which not only fixes the matchmaking issues, but also adds new options.
"The first iteration of the demo suffered matchmaking problems resulting in some players experiencing difficulties getting into matches. SEGA and Rebellion have worked closely with Sony to investigate and resolve the issue with this new demo," explains Rebellion.
That's not all. "The new demo also features additional functionality to allow PlayStation 3 users to create their own matches and browse for any available ones to join," it adds. That's pretty decent.
We'd usually expect the update to be delivered automatically next time you boot up the demo, but there's no mention of that in the PR, so you may have to delete it completely and re-download the new version. Let us know in the comments below.
Senior producer Dave Brickley recently told CVG that the game's controversial graphic violence was "necessary". If you haven't already played the demo, check it out and see what he means, now that it actually works.
